Qualifications and background
Before being selected as Councillor for the Bracken Ridge Ward, Amanda worked for  Lord Mayor, Campbell Newman as his Policy Advisor on Urban Planning and Economic Development .

Amanda holds a Bachelor of Arts (double major in Government)

Committee membership and interests

Amanda is a member of the Urban Planning and Economic Development Committee.

Amanda is Lord Mayor’s Spokesman on Urban Planning and Economic Development and also the Councillor responsible for implementing the Brisbane City Council’s Neighbourhood Planning initiative which was part of the Lord Mayor’s Future Brisbane policy

Having grown up in the Bracken Ridge Ward, Amanda has now chosen to live there with her husband and three children.  

Amanda is passionate about the needs of this fast growing community.  She is committed to providing facilities and services to ensure the local area retains its unique character and strong community spirit.
