Bracken Ridge Ward Councillor Carol Cashman is pleased that a “J” Pole has been erected at the Bald Hills Train Station to indicate the pick up point for the Bald Hill’s Personalised Public Transport (PPT) service.
Cr Cashman said the new green sign was erected to indicate the PPT service and will have a timetable case attached.
“The green indicates that it is a PPT service with a “Please Hail Driver” message rather than a normal blue bus service sign,” said Cr Cashman.
“A seat will also be installed shortly.”
The PPT service has close to 100 people using it on a regular basis to get to and from the Bald Hills station in weekday peak hours. The service’s first run is at 6:30am and the last pick up is at 9am. The return journey starts at 3:35pm with the last run leaving the station at 7:10pm.
“As a hail and Ride service the pick ups and setdowns are anywhere along the route and the fare is only $1 each way,” said Cr Cashman.
