Bracken Ridge Ward Councillor Carol Cashman wants to thank all residents who participated in the Backyard Bonanza on Sunday for what was an extremely successful day.
Cr Cashman said famous TV vet Dr Harry Cooper’s attendance on the day was a highlight as was the strong feeling of community unity.
“To have such a large turnout of people across all age groups just showed how much the people of Bracken Ridge appreciate their community.
“The fun packed day was full of rides and events that everyone in the family was able to enjoy.
“The young local talent displayed on the entertainment stage was just inspiring and I have no doubt that Bracken Ridge will soon be home to some big names in the entertainment industry,” Cr Cashman said.
Cr Cashman wanted to send out a big thankyou to all organisers and volunteers who made the day possible, especially Joanna Jordan and Ali Musk.
“A special thanks must also go out to the Bracken Ridge Central Lions Club who helped organise this day in conjunction with their Lions steam train rides event.”
