Bald Hills State School has proudly announced on Wednesday 20 June four (4) of their students: Naomi Grant, Sam Walters, Jesse Pascoe and Madison Manning calling themselves the Bald Hills Booklovers competed in the Reader's Cup Brisbane North regional final at St Anthony's Catholic Primary School, Kedron.
The Bald Hills Booklovers competed against eighteen (18) other schools including Brisbane Boys Grammar, All Hallows', Our Lady of the Angels and Ithaca Creek State School.
Bald Hills State School reported "After an intense round of twenty-five (25) questions Bald Hills progressed into the final where eight (8) schools vied for the trophy and an opportunity to compete at the Reader's Cup State finals on Saturday 15 September. The final had a nail biting tussle between Bald Hills, Brisbane Boys Grammar and Our Lady of the Angels. At the conclusion of twenty-five questions (25) Bald Hills Booklovers defeated the runners up Boy's Grammar by half a mark."
