Councillor Amanda Cooper is keen to hear from residents in the vicinity of the Bracken Ridge Ward if they have any concerns over the upgrade of Bracken Ridge Road.
Cr Cooper said the opportunity to comment on the detailed design stage is imperative before any plans are finalised.
Cr Cooper urges the community to be involved in this project to ensure the best outcomes are achieved.
“I want to work with the local residents on this important issue, so I’ll be keen to hear what people think.
Cr Cooper said she would keep residents informed about the upgrades, so they know what to expect in the next few months.
Cr Cooper said road safety was a priority and will see safety measures implemented throughout the design and planning process.
Residents will have received a newsletter last week detailing the proposed plans for the upgrade for this study.
It gives residents an opportunity to give feedback to Cr Cooper about the proposal.
“I welcome residents of Elizabeth Park Estate to become involved in this project, as boundary changes will place them in the Bracken Ridge Ward as of April 2008.” Cr Cooper said.
